Chief Ojo Maduekwe

Nigerian High Commissioner to Canada

Welcome to the official website of the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa, Canada.

Nigeria is blessed with abundant natural resources and manpower. The country has huge potentials for rapid growth in Agriculture, Energy, Science and Engineering, amongst others; and the Nigerian Government and the citizenry are doing everything possible to make it the preferred choice for investment and tourism in Africa.

Nigerians are generally passionate, enthusiastic and charismatic in their pursuit for excellence and outstanding achievements in their daily undertakings. The positive contributions of Nigerians (individually and as groups) to their local Canadian communities across the country are not far fetched

At this High Commission, we are committed to supporting Nigerians, who have made Canada home, to succeed greatly and to provide an effective means for them to easily connect with their root and make positive contributions when possible. We are equally eager to provide factual and realistic information to the Canadian populace that have some interest (business, tourism, humanitarian, entertainment, etc) in knowing more about Nigeria.
